Avascular necrosis (AVN) occurs when blood flow to bone tissue is reduced, leading to weakening and potential joint damage over time. It can stem from injury, long-term medication use, or underlying health factors. Left unmanaged, it may affect mobility and quality of life—but with the right knowledge, habits, and support strategies, you can actively protect your joints and improve how you move and feel every day.
