Does the thought of taking the DMV test fill you with dread? The trick is to reframe it: You're not sitting an exam; you're proving that you know how to be an excellent driver. Read on!
California is made for driving, and you're ready.
Maybe you've had the lessons and you're already a confident driver... or maybe you're getting ready to apply for your learner's permit. Either way, you know the roads are out there waiting for you...
You've been memorizing road signs and reading endless information on traffic laws, but that exam still lies ahead of you in the shadows - and no matter how good a driver you are, it could be what prevents you from getting on the road.
That's a lot of pressure, and feeling pressured isn't going to help you at all. But reading dry theory books for long hours seems futile as well.
So what's the solution? How can you make sure that you can use all this theory to do more than pass the test, and make you into an even more confident driver too?
The answer's here - in a handbook that isn't just a handbook, but a mentor. You're not just going to pass that exam; you're going to use all that knowledge to make you into an even better driver.
Inside, you'll discover:
- The California licensing system demystified - discover everything you need to know before bureaucracy tries to bamboozle you
- Your complete progress checklist (to make applying for your learner's permit a piece of cake)
- An in-depth (yet refreshingly engaging) review of California's traffic laws - the things you absolutely must know before hitting the road
- How to avoid traffic violations (and your worry about committing them)
- The rules that go with the signs you've been memorizing for so long (complete with photographs to boost your consolidation)
- A clear understanding of the unspoken rules of California roads
- The art of navigating stressful traffic situations without losing your cool (plus how to turn your common sense into a responsible driver superpower)
- 10 likely scenarios in which your common sense will be put to the test - practice now to make sure you pass without even thinking about it!
- The good driving habits you want to acquire right now... and how to make them second nature
- Your moral and legal responsibilities as a driver (along with the penalties you definitely want to avoid)
- A complete guide to adopting the mindset that could help you save lives
And much more.
If you're not an exam person, the DMV can be a terrifying barrier to entry. The trick is not to think of it as an exam.
The test isn't the important part - the important part is knowing how to stay safe and legal on the roads.
You can do that... and your exam result is just the piece of paper that's going to show it.
