Needle Mike goes out with a needle in one hand and a pistol in the other. Ken McNally-millionaire playboy by pedigree, jaundiced, gold‑toothed tattooist by disguise-runs a seedy Tenderloin parlor in St. Louis where ink and information change hands. Posing as the proprietor, he traffics in secrets as easily as he trades tattoos, stepping into danger when underworld patrons drag trouble through his door. Equal parts bravado, guile, and cold nerve, Needle Mike answers every scrape with a sly grin and a harder edge.
The Complete Cases of Needle Mike, Volume 3 collects the final seven Needle Mike adventures from Dime Detective, bringing William E. Barrett's hard‑boiled saga to a fierce, satisfying close. Restored as they originally ran, these last tales deliver the grit, fast reversals, and pulp‑era punch that made Needle Mike one of the era's most entertaining antiheroes.
