Small Quarto. 189 pages illustrated in color. One of most beautiful and scarce books of the Easton Press. The Barker's books were first published in the first half of last century and were known and loved around the world. Almost thirty years after her death, her work continues to delight children and have stood the test of time. A fine copy bound in maroon pictorial gilt leather with central pictorial color pastedown, raised bands with compartments lettered in gilt, silk endpapers, all edges gilt.
