I have been an amateur book collector for over 30 years acquiring books covering a broad knowledge & topics over the years., which now numbers between 600 to a1,000 books. Sadly due to my wife's failing health I have decided to sell my collection. I mainly collect Railway/Transport/Military/nature and a large selection books of rare and a variety of non fiction material. Whether my books are rare or old almost all are in very good/as new condition, I will endeavour to lists all books to the exact description. I am at most times free to discuss any books, although due to being a full carer I may not answer my phone straight away but if you leave a forward number I will always reply to the call. I myself am now retired, I worked in passenger transport for just a little over 45 years both in the bus & Rail Industry achieving management status for the last seventeen years of my working career on the Railway. Working in passenger transport was something that i always wanted to do and was lucky enough to have achieved a career that gave me so much enjoyment. Apart from book collecting my other main hobby is gardening which helps me relax and reflect on my busy life being a full time carer for my wife of 49 years.

I am an individual private seller of books from my own book collection which I have acquired over many years. My books cover a wide range of subjects which include Railway/Transport, Militaria books.

I am selling my collection due to now being a full time carer to my wife of 49 years.

My personal history is basic having spent some 45 years in the passenger transport industry both Stagecoach & Railway.

Books have been more than a passion having amassed several hundred books covering various subjects, however apart from taking up a lot of room I no longer have the time to persue my passion.

Military and Transport is my main passion along with nature.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Information regarding the right of withdrawal

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Linmart Books, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, +44 07483802321, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.

Shipping terms

All shipping rates of any book(s) will be done at the cheapest rate possible depending on the buyers preference of how quick or slow they would want to receive the book.

Most UK shipping will be through Royal Mail or cheaper version were possible.

All overseas mailing will be shipped at the cheapest method possible, however the method of postage will be discussed with the buyer prior to postage.

All books will be bubble wrapped and securely enveloped/parceled depending on the size of the book.

All postage wherever possible will be sent 'tracked', unless otherwise agreed with the buyer prior to sale.

In person collection if the buyer lives locally will be accepted.
