1688. xvi, 1-255, [1], [16]. Fourth edition. Small 8vo, meauring roughly 5.5 x 3.75 inches, with ten engravings in text and two pages of the "Angles Song" with page of music purposely bound in upside-down in all copies as intended so two people could read the music simultaneously. Bound in older full calf ruled and decorated in blind with spine titles in gilt, marbled endsheets; neatly rebacked. Light rubbing to binding, title page soiled. two inked names to title page and to bottom of each music plate, occational browning or spotting. Several pages have old marginal ink markings or an occasional ink splash. A celebration of the art and spirit of fishing in prose and verse. Originally published in 1653, a total of five editions were published during the author's life time, the first four of which were published anonymously.
