Good book in Good dustjacket. Slim 8vo, pp. 84 + 7 b/w plates. Beige linen boards, spine lettered in green. Light wear and bruising to spine ends, corners bumped. DJ unclipped, "4s 6d". Edges tanned, occasional spots, else, clean and tidy, especially given the war economy paper. In the scarce original green-and orange-lettered dust jacket: tanned, with associated closed tears, has been neatly internally tape repaired and is now covered in a clear non-adhesive archuival cover. With a foreword by L. F. Easterbrook. Maye E. Bruce was a Cotswolds-based gardener and founder member of the Soil Association in England, whose Quick-Return method is a simplified version of Rudolf Steiner's Bio-dynamic method of compost-making.
