Add to basketPOWER IS ABSOLUTE. LOYALTY IS TESTED. THE CONSEQUENCES ARE UNTHINKABLE.
At the highest level of government, decisions are made in silence-far from cameras, far from Congress, far from public scrutiny. When those decisions involve the fate of millions, there is no margin for doubt... and no room for dissent.
INSIDE THE WEST WING, A LINE HAS BEEN CROSSED
Veteran Secret Service agent Thomas Rourke has spent his career protecting presidents from visible threats. Guns. Bombs. Assassins. He knows the rules. He knows the cost of failure. And he knows that loyalty to the office has always come first.
Until now.
When the President issues a classified order buried deep inside emergency protocols-an order that could trigger catastrophic global consequences-Rourke is pulled into an inner circle where secrecy is enforced, dissent is punished, and trust is weaponized. Advisers are silenced. Intelligence is filtered. And every decision is rushed beneath the ticking clock of a manufactured crisis.
Rourke is assigned full-time personal detail. No substitutions. No questions. No distance.
But as he listens to whispered warnings in dark corridors and watches seasoned officials quietly disappear from the chain of command, one truth becomes impossible to ignore:
The greatest threat to the nation may be the man he is sworn to protect.
WHEN OBEDIENCE BECOMES COMPLICITY
As tensions escalate and classified briefings point toward irreversible action, Rourke finds himself trapped between duty and conscience. The President demands loyalty without hesitation. The system demands silence. And the protocols-once designed to safeguard democracy-are now being bent to justify an unthinkable decision.
Every instinct Rourke has honed over decades tells him something is wrong.
But stepping out of line could mean the collapse of his career... or something far worse.
Because in the West Wing, power does not forgive hesitation-and the truth is never meant to survive the night.
A DECISION THAT CANNOT BE UNDONE
With time running out and the machinery of government accelerating toward a point of no return, Rourke must decide where his loyalty truly lies. Protect the President at all costs-or risk everything to stop an order that could change the world forever.
There are no heroes waiting in the wings.
There is no safe exit.
And once the command is given, there is no recall.
COMMAND AUTHORITY is a gripping, high-stakes political thriller that pulls readers behind closed doors and into the most dangerous rooms in America. Written with chilling realism and relentless tension, this novel explores the fragile balance between power and responsibility-and asks the question no one wants answered:
What happens when absolute authority falls into the wrong hands?
If you crave pulse-pounding suspense, insider political drama, and morally complex characters forced to make impossible choices, COMMAND AUTHORITY will keep you turning pages long after midnight.
Because some orders are legal.
Some orders are classified.
And some orders should never be given.
