Paperback. Coming Home to Myself is a deeply personal memoir about love, loss, faith, survival, and the courage to begin again.Michelle Lee Vance Morales shares her journey from a childhood shaped by faith and the devastating abandonment of her father, through becoming independent at a young age, marriage and motherhood, difficult relationships, career changes, caregiving, addiction, grief, and profound loss. Throughout her life, Michelle repeatedly found herself caring for others, solving problems, surviving hardships, and starting over-often without realizing how much of herself she had left behind along the way.Her story is filled with unexpected turns: a teenage girl searching for safety, a young mother determined to provide for her daughter, a woman finding the strength to leave an unhappy marriage, and later, a caregiver standing beside someone she loved through alcoholism and terminal illness. But this memoir is not simply a story about what Michelle lost.It is about what she found.Through faith, forgiveness, heartbreak, and countless new beginnings, Michelle gradually discovers that home isn't necessarily a house, a relationship, or even a particular place. Sometimes, after spending a lifetime searching for somewhere to belong, the greatest journey is learning to finally belong to yourself.Coming Home to Myself is a story for anyone who has loved deeply, lost painfully, started over unexpectedly, or wondered whether it is ever too late to create a new life.Sometimes the road home doesn't take us back to where we started. It leads us to who we were meant to become. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…

Coming Home to Myself is a deeply personal memoir about love, loss, faith, survival, and the courage to begin again.
Michelle Lee Vance Morales shares her journey from a childhood shaped by faith and the devastating abandonment of her father, through becoming independent at a young age, marriage and motherhood, difficult relationships, career changes, caregiving, addiction, grief, and profound loss. Throughout her life, Michelle repeatedly found herself caring for others, solving problems, surviving hardships, and starting over—often without realizing how much of herself she had left behind along the way.
Her story is filled with unexpected turns: a teenage girl searching for safety, a young mother determined to provide for her daughter, a woman finding the strength to leave an unhappy marriage, and later, a caregiver standing beside someone she loved through alcoholism and terminal illness.
But this memoir is not simply a story about what Michelle lost.
It is about what she found.
Through faith, forgiveness, heartbreak, and countless new beginnings, Michelle gradually discovers that home isn't necessarily a house, a relationship, or even a particular place. Sometimes, after spending a lifetime searching for somewhere to belong, the greatest journey is learning to finally belong to yourself.
Coming Home to Myself is a story for anyone who has loved deeply, lost painfully, started over unexpectedly, or wondered whether it is ever too late to create a new life.
Sometimes the road home doesn't take us back to where we started. It leads us to who we were meant to become.
