120, wraps, endnotes, footnotes. Serial No. 107-231. This hearing showcased experts in nuclear weapons programs and nonproliferation efforts. It asserted that a global radiological bazaar had opened for business since the demise of the Soviet Union. The International Atomic Energy Agency had, up to the time of the hearing, reports of 17 confirmed incidents since 1993 that involved diversion of plutonium or highly enriched uranium. More troubling, some of the material had not been recovered.
