Print on Demand. This book explores the challenges, trials, and triumphs of seniors at one women's college over two decades (1922-1942), as the world around them changed dramatically. The author, who was a senior herself in the earlier year, imparts deep personal experience and eye-witness accounts to compare her experiences to those of seniors 20 years later during World War II. The author provides keen insight into the varying mindsets of seniors, and her analysis of their journey from students to war workers in the face of a historic crisis is a valuable piece of historical writing. This book serves as a record of academic life for women during a tumultuous time in American history. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

Here he practices the adage Don't tell names and tales, too but there is little doubt that the reference is to the Nazi inva sion of the smaller countries. This novel will strike home to all of those who still say, It can't happen here. The story con cerns a small, peaceful country suddenly overwhelmed by a belligerent nation whose swarms of soldiers with-lethal equipment make what little resistance that can be offered a waste of human lives. The deter mination of the conquered people to go on with their way of life is immediately futile, but yet they prove unconquerable in the end.
