(Ca. 1890). Chromo-lithographed cuts and cards. Various sizes. Advertising cards: Compagnie Leibig, Fray-Bentos (3 x); F. Thiéry & Cie, Anvers (5); 'De Gulden Bie, Antwerpen (5); Kemmerich (4); Petit Nègre Fromage Suisse (3); Dans la grandes Cultures (2); Watrelot-Delespaul (2); Chocolat et Cacao Senez-Sturbelle Bruxelles (2); & 30 others advertising cards from Chocolat Tobler Berne, Le Bios Antwerp, Les Cinghalais Bruxelles, Peek Frean & Co's Biscuits, Compagnie continentale pour la torréfaction des cafés Anvers, A la flotte française Rouen, Alcool de menthe de Ricqlès, Maison van Crombrugge Liège, Prduits alimentaires Knorr, Perles du Japon Paris, P. Moneuse & Ad. Humez Sauchy-Lestrée, A.J. Simon & Fils Bruxelles, Amidon Vermeire Hamme, A. Sonnet-Josse Charleroi, etc. Added a plate and a carte postale depicting black musicians and 3 large chromothographed plates depicting black couples and sheet with 15 mounted cuts of black heads. The full-colour scrap was produced by chromolithography from the 1860s and early 1870s onwards, individual subjects were presented in multiple sheets, each image held to its neighbor by narrow connecting tabs. They became a worldwide cult. - More images available upon request.
