Small 4to. Softcover. Pp 23. Collection Of Contemporary Paintings Belonging To Serge Lifar. With prefaces by Jean Cocteau. Complete with 8 plates. No. 174 of 501 copies printed. In good condition; corners slightly torn, plates are loose as are some pages. Small creases and faint marks to the cover and tear on the back near the spine. Pen inscription on first clean page. Pages themselves are clean and unmarked. Illustrations include works by Georges Chirico, Andre Derain, Marie Laurencin, Pablo Picasso, and Georges Rouault. Serge Lifar was a dancer and choreographer, and one of the greatest male ballet dancers of the 20th century. Lifar was also a choreographer, director, writer, theoretician about dance, and Art collector. Seller Inventory # 036681
