About this Item
A collection of 45 handwritten sermons, or notes for sermons that were composed & delivered between 1783-1848 (some were delivered in several later years, again, and are so noted in later years). Number 45 seems to have been delivered by D.[aniel?] Dianiska in 1827 at Rima-Banyul. Sizes vary between 4 ¾ in. x 7 ¼ in. to 5 ½ in. x 8 ½ in., they are written in browned, or later black ink in several hands on a variety of mainly laid papers, light blue paper, etc. in Czech (some possibly in Slovak, as they were for a Slovak audience), and one in German, mostly in gothic fraktur style handwriting, with various additions, side-notes, underling, etc. These pages have been individually sewn to form small booklets; condition varies, with some showing faded ink, wear or stains, to the edges, some have source references at the bottom on the last pages. List of the 45 pieces (these are only approximate transcriptions from abbreviated script writing, giving the Sundays/Holy Days, when the Sermons were delivered, with the year; several were delivered again in later years, and those years were added at later dates): [1] 1783 Dnca [Dominica] XXIII.
