Synopsis

In part one the author defines the appeal of printed ephemera and explains its historical and financial value, followed by information on technicl aspects of collection - paper, watermarks, printing processes, repair and conservation, display and the problems of dating, classification, storage and cataloguing. Part two is a survey illustrating the range of material available and demonstrating the different approaches and interests in the collection and preservation of the material.
