Signed Zaehnsdorf Binding beautifully done with gilt motifs as part of the Heinemann “Copyright Edition” of Ibsen’s works. Lovely oval motifs of deep rose red around a gilt flower with gilt outlines in each corner. Rose endpaper pastedown opposite a deep tan marbled free endpaper. Contains three of Ibsen’s later works: “Little Eyolf”, “John Gabriel Borkman”, “When We Dead Awaken”, all translated by William Archer with an introduction by William Archer. Beautiful gilt edging all around.
