In contemporary linguistics, both cognitive and critical approaches to language have been elaborated in some detail. About the Author: Christopher Hart is Lecturer in English Language and Communication at the University of Hertfordshire. He is co-editor of the journal Critical Approaches to Discourse Analysis across Disciplines. Dominik Lukeš is a translator, educator and researcher in linguistics and education. He is co-editor of the online journal Critical Approaches to Discourse Analysis across Disciplines.
