The book is a comprehensive study of the codling moth, a pest that affects apple orchards in the Yakima Valley. Melander provides a detailed account of the life cycle of the codling moth and the damage it causes to apple trees. He also discusses various methods of controlling the pest, including spraying with insecticides and the use of pheromone traps. The book includes numerous illustrations and photographs to aid in the identification of the codling moth and its damage. Melander's work is considered a seminal study of the codling moth and remains a valuable resource for those involved in apple production and pest management. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.…
