Synopsis:

This is a new and lively course for teenagers. It aims to build up their general English skills while gently easing them into more tailored PET and FCE exam practice. The clear yet integrated approach develops reading, writing, listening and speaking skills whilst there is systematic build- up of topic- based lexis and lexico grammar. The topic- based units cover general topics common to international exams, but these are approached in a way that is appropriate to the experience and interest of the target age group.

About the Author: Written by: Michele Crawford always had a love of languages and travel, and a desire to escape dull, rainy Britain. That’s how she ended up in Athens in 1991 teaching English to adults, most of whom were older than her. Michele had previously obtained a degree in French from Sheffield University but did not know how to teach. After a few years out of the UK and some inspiring coursebooks later, Michele decided to complete an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Newcastle. Upon completion, Michele got a job teaching English to Japanese undergraduates where she gained some valuable experience and skills. Now Michele lives in the West of Greece with her husband and 2 year-old daughter. She spends time writing books which focus on helping other teachers and providing them with useful advice and tips.
