Print on Demand. This book, a comprehensive guide to self-government, delves into the history of the United States and the evolution of its political system. It traces the rise of the machine-rule system, where a select few exercised undue influence, and details the empowering movement for a people's-rule system, where the citizenry could enact laws directly. The book presents a timely analysis of governmental institutions and the reforms needed to restore true self-government. It includes a thorough examination of the initiative and referendum, corrupt practices acts, and other laws essential for establishing a system where the people's will prevails. The author argues that by reclaiming their sovereignty, citizens can address critical issues such as corporate influence, economic inequality, and environmental degradation. This insightful book is a valuable resource for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of government and the importance of active citizen participation. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
