The Cocker Spaniel is one of the most affectionate, intelligent, and family-friendly dog breeds in the world. Known for their beautiful flowing coats, expressive eyes, and cheerful personalities, Cocker Spaniels make loyal companions for families, individuals, and dog lovers of all ages. However, raising a healthy and well-behaved Cocker Spaniel requires proper care, training, grooming, and understanding of the breed’s unique needs.
THE COCKER SPANIEL CARE HANDBOOK is a practical and comprehensive guide designed to help both beginners and experienced dog owners successfully raise and care for this beloved breed. Whether you are bringing home a playful puppy or caring for an adult dog, this handbook provides clear guidance on every aspect of responsible Cocker Spaniel ownership.
Inside this book, readers will learn how to choose the right Cocker Spaniel, understand breed characteristics, and prepare their home for a new companion. The guide explains the differences between American and English Cocker Spaniels and helps owners understand the temperament, intelligence, and energy levels that make this breed so unique.
A major section focuses on training and behavior development, offering practical techniques for house training, obedience training, leash manners, and socialization. Because Cocker Spaniels are intelligent and eager to please, the book explains how positive reinforcement methods can help build a strong bond and encourage well-mannered behavior.
The handbook also provides detailed guidance on feeding and nutrition, helping owners understand the dietary needs of Cocker Spaniels at different life stages. Readers will learn how proper nutrition supports healthy growth, energy levels, coat condition, and long-term wellbeing.
Because grooming is essential for this breed, the book includes a complete section on Cocker Spaniel grooming and coat care. From brushing and bathing to ear cleaning and nail trimming, readers will learn how to maintain the breed’s beautiful coat while preventing common issues such as matting and ear infections.
Health and wellness are another important focus of the guide. The book explains common health conditions that may affect Cocker Spaniels and offers preventive care strategies, regular check-up recommendations, and tips for maintaining overall health throughout the dog’s life.
Readers will also discover ways to provide mental stimulation, exercise, and enrichment to keep their Cocker Spaniel happy and emotionally balanced. Activities, games, and daily routines help strengthen the relationship between dog and owner while supporting a healthy lifestyle.
Whether you are a first-time dog owner or an experienced pet parent looking to better understand the breed, THE COCKER SPANIEL CARE HANDBOOK offers reliable and practical advice for raising a happy, healthy, and well-trained companion.
With the right care and knowledge, a Cocker Spaniel can become a loyal friend and joyful member of the family for many years to come.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
