Three items of ephemera relating to purchases made by Thomas Newton in 1800 from the Westminster Land Coal-Meters Office. The first is a manuscript invoice dated to May 29th 1800 from Jane Sanderson to Thomas Newton. The invoice relates to a coal order made by Mr Newton from the Westminster Land Coal-Meters Office. A written receipt of payment for this order from Mrs Sanderson, is attached to the invoice and dated to June 10th, 1800. In addition, two printed notifications addressed to Mr Newton at 'No 6 Dacre St Westminster' display the details for the May order as well as for a previous order dated to March 15th of the same year. The notifications state the date of purchase, the number of sacks of coal, the metage, the sworn labouring meter, the seller, buyer and the carman. The buyer for both is stated as Mr Newton however the seller, carman and sworn labouring meter differ. All in very good condition with a small chip along bottom edge of the receipt, foxing to edges of invoice and chip to bottom right corner. Slight creasing of edges to all.
