A FIRST EDITION with original text in 25 chapters, 212 pages, with first DJ cover art by Russell Tandy, this is a later printing (1956B-17 per Farah's 11th). Hardcover 12mo has the blue tweed cloth-covered binding with black silhouette on right "digger" endpapers, plain frontispiece. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright with very mild rubbing to corners/extremities. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Creamy white pages with light tanning to edges, unmarked. The unclipped DJ is VG+: clean & bright, but with a few small chips at both ends of spine & corners, mild rubbing to extremities; nicely protected in new mylar cover free for your collection!
