She grew up Broadway royalty. He grew up protecting everyone but himself. One discovery will change everything they thought they knew-including each other. Evangeline "Linnie" Brogan has spent her entire life commanding the stage under the bright lights of Broadway. Applause is familiar. Fame is expected. Stability is an illusion she clings to-until one night, a personal tragedy cracks her world open. With long-buried secrets rising to the surface, Linnie sets out to uncover the truth about where she comes from even if it means leaving behind everything she's ever known. Her search leads her straight into the path of Montague "Monty" Parrish-arrogant, protective, and carrying the weight his family's crisis threatening to break them apart. When fate drops Linnie into the middle of the chaos, Monty isn't sure whether she's a blessing or a complication he can't afford. Despite the fact they're long-lost step-siblings, something between them shifts. Slowly. Temptingly. They become each other's light when fear, grief, and uncertainty threaten to swallow them whole. Their connection grows into something deeper, steadier, impossible to ignore until the truth arrives like a blow neither of them could have prepared for. Now reality intrudes, ripping through the sanctuary they built and forcing them to confront the one question neither wants to ask. Can love survive when destiny has other plans? Because life can present a close match but it takes courage, truth, and a love fierce enough to fight the impossible to make it a perfect one.…
