No publisher, place or date, perhaps circa 1994. Single sheet, roughly 8 by 6 inches. Printed on a single side. Small inset photo of Holly Hughes at the top left. A promotional piece for the one person play, Clit Notes, written and performed by Holly Hughes. An autobiographical piece, Clit Notes is a highly acclaimed play featuring Hughes performing as herself at different ages, her mother, various lovers, etc. Holly Hughes is an American performance artist whose work often explores lesbian and feminist themes. She gained some fame for being one of the NEA Four in 1990, four artists who were refused promised funding from the NEA because of their work. While they did eventually get the funding (from other sources) the case ended up with the NEA stopping the funding for individual artists. Despite the clutching of pearls by some politicians and commentators about her work, she continued to produce a variety of pieces that garnered praise and acclaim. VERY GOOD+ condition. Minor wrinkling. Seller Inventory # 022464
