A partir de las grabaciones de audio que Jacques Cousteau encontró en 1982, de un tejido obsesivo de datos históricos, ciertos documentos encontrados y notas periodísticas de la más diversa índole, Pablo Raphael reconstruye un universo en el que los sucesos difuminan constantemente la frontera entre la realidad y la ficción, entre la crónica histórica y la fabulación fantástica, al grado de que la isla, siempre a punto de hundirse, logra perdurar flotando a la deriva en la cabeza del lector.
Pablo Raphael (Mexico, 1970) estudió el doctorado en humanidades en la Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Fue becario del Centro Mexicano de Escritores y del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes. Ha sido profesor de literatura en la Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana y colaborador de los diarios El País, Milenio, El Universal y El Faro, así como de las revistas Revuelta, Gatopardo, Confabulario y Quimera. Junto con Guadalupe Nettel, fue editor de la revist literaria Número 0. Es autor de la novela Armadura para un hombre solo (2013) y de los libros de cuentos Las jaulas (2013) y Agenda del suicidio (2011), que recibió el Premio Nacional de Literatura Gilberto Owen. Su ensayo La fábrica del Lenguaje, S.A. resultó finalista del Premio Anagrama de Ensayo 2011. A principios de 2012 formó parte de la expedición internacional The Clipperton Project, que viajó a la isla del mismo nombre en tres barcos para intervenirla a partir de un proyecto de colaboración entre ciencia y arte. Actualmente es director del Instituto de México en España.

Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments we have received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for any additional costs incurred if you have chosen a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard type of delivery we offer).
We may deduct from the refund the loss of value of the goods supplied, if this is due to unnecessary handling by you.
We will reimburse you without undue delay and at the latest 14 days after we are informed of your decision to withdraw from the contract.
We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any costs as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof of having returned them, whichever is the earliest.
