Ronan Cohen's life has taken a turn for the better. With a loving wife by his side, he's carved out a semblance of happiness, leaving behind the shame of his past as a disgraced psychiatrist. But when an innocent basket beyond their doorstep presents an impossible choice-a four-month-old baby, abandoned yet somehow haunting-Ronan realizes that the path to redemption is fraught with more dangers than he ever anticipated.
As he grapples with the enigma of the baby's origin, dark echoes of his past resurface, entwining with his present. A former patient, fixated and vengeful, is pulling the strings from the shadows-turning Ronan's quest for peace into a treacherous game of cat and mouse. With his wife Alessia's unwavering trust beginning to fissure under the weight of his secrets, Ronan must confront the truth of his past choices before it destroys everything he holds dear.
My Client, My Shadow is a heart-pounding psychological thriller that explores the intricate web of guilt, obsession, and the lengths one man will go to protect his newfound family. As Ronan races against time to unearth the motives behind the baby's arrival and the true identity of the lurking antagonist, readers will be thrust into a gripping journey that will challenge their perceptions of trust, redemption, and the haunting grip of our pasts. Will Ronan find a way to reclaim his life before his shadow consumes him?
Prepare for an emotional roller-coaster that will keep you on the edge of your seat, contemplating the darkness that lies within us all.
