The inaugural release in the New Music Education School series, "Clefi's Little Notebook," was created by the esteemed Czech music pedagogue and celebrated bassist Dr. Eva Sasinkova. This bestselling workbook introduces children to essential music theory concepts in a delightful, engaging way. Dr. Roman Placzek, an accomplished Czech-American cellist, educator, composer, and publisher, skillfully translated and adapted the content for the American music education system and general English-speaking readership. But this workbook is not just a tool for learning; it's also a fun and engaging journey for children and anyone interested in exploring the world of sounds, tones, notes, musical clefs, scales, measures, and more with childlike innocence.
The exercises are designed to make learning fun and practical, ensuring children grasp the concepts while enjoying themselves. The vibrant illustrations by contemporary Czech artist Katerina Kovarova captivate parents, teachers, and young readers, enhancing their educational experience and sparking their interest in music. A notable feature of this exceptional publication is *Clefi's Little Songbook* at the end of the workbook. This collection includes charming, simple Czech children's folk songs that complement the lessons throughout the book. Dr. Placzek's adaptations and translations of the lyrics improve the accessibility of the songs while maintaining their original charm, making this a must-have resource for every music studio and classroom.Visit Clefi's webpage on our website to learn more about the author and her nine-volume New Music Education School series, as well as our original Clefi’s & Notelina’s Songbook, which includes all songs from all nine books!
