Fly fishermen dream of getting away, of sneaking off to a remote mountain stream or virgin cay, where there is no noise, no traffic, no skyline. In this book some of fly fishing's most gifted writers share experiences in Manhattan, London, Tokyo, and Paris. In a man-made lake in the Minnesota suburbs, a park pond in New Jersey, a fountain pool on a college campus in the deep South, in suspect rivers within sight of factories in Buffalo, Oakland and Augusta, Maine. This unorthodox collection reveals what all true fishermen understand: good fishing is to be had anywhere you can find it.
