Paperback. One woman's journey from the shadows of a "vicious circle" to the light of a hard-won peace."I was ten years old, and I had already learned that if I kept the floors shining and the laundry folded, I could create a version of peace that might actually hold."For most children, the walk home from school is a time of play. For [Your Name], it was a gamble. Behind the closed doors of her childhood home sat a secret kept in a bottle-a cycle of "drunk days" and "sober days" that forced her to become the "Woman of the House" long before she was a woman. From the traumatic memory of a late-night car wreck on a gravel road to the silent bond of a brother who carried her bags when the world felt too heavy, this memoir traces the architecture of a life built on survival. But the "vicious circle" doesn't stay in childhood. As an adult, [Your Name] found herself navigating the echoes of her past-the fight-or-flight mode that turned every conversation into a battle and every silence into a threat. Then came the Shattering. In a series of heart-wrenching events, she faced the loss of her mother, the birth of her son in the fragile world of the NICU, and the sudden, devastating loss of her husband during the height of a global pandemic. When a midnight intruder finally brought the "siege" to her doorstep, she was forced to make a choice: succumb to the cycle, or finally break free. Not The Circumstance is a raw, courageous, and deeply moving testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It is a story for the caretakers, the survivors, and anyone who has ever prayed for the strength to change their ending.Discover a story of healing, the power of forgiveness, and the beauty of finally finding "The Calm." "I was ten years old, and I had already learned that if I kept the floors shining and the laundry folded, I could create a version of peace that might actually hold."
For most children, the walk home from school is a time of play. For [Your Name], it was a gamble. Behind the closed doors of her childhood home sat a secret kept in a bottle—a cycle of "drunk days" and "sober days" that forced her to become the "Woman of the House" long before she was a woman.
From the traumatic memory of a late-night car wreck on a gravel road to the silent bond of a brother who carried her bags when the world felt too heavy, this memoir traces the architecture of a life built on survival.
But the "vicious circle" doesn't stay in childhood. As an adult, [Your Name] found herself navigating the echoes of her past—the fight-or-flight mode that turned every conversation into a battle and every silence into a threat.
It is a story for the caretakers, the survivors, and anyone who has ever prayed for the strength to change their ending.
Discover a story of healing, the power of forgiveness, and the beauty of finally finding "The Calm."
