Neuware - Many children are grieving the loss of a parent. From AIDS, from illness, from warfare, and dislocation children are having to walk forward in grief. Chang Yu and the author have a story to share with you that we hope will help. It is our way of walking with you. This book offers a bridge linking us together, her story to your story or one you know, a bridge between where you live and Shanghai, China. While reading the story you will be learning about China's interest in birds, in Chinese stories and embroidery like in The Blue Willow story. You will learn about bullying dragons and arrogant young turtles and how they learn to get along with others. Most importantly you will be reading a story about what is real, seen and unseen, like love. You will be reading that love is eternal. Chang Yu hopes you like her drawings, which you may like to color in.
