He has both parents, an older brother, and a younger sister. His father, Mr. Mandra, is a renowned businessman with companies in both America and Indonesia, while his mother, Mrs. Harum, is a specialist in cardiology. His older brother, Fahrel, tragically passed away due to drug addiction while pursuing further studies in America, and his younger sister, Ana, is highly intelligent and affectionate. Gema initially was a well-behaved child, but after Fahrel's drug-related death, he started to change. This change was rooted in his disappointment with Fahrel, who had always received gifts and letters from him. Amri, a friend of Gema, used to be someone he confided in. But their promise to always be there for each other through thick and thin was broken when Amri had to move to Surabaya to take care of his severely ill grandmother. Gema's character slowly began to change, and he became the "King of School" at Cipta Bakti High School, a fact his mother was unaware of. At Cipta Bakti High School, Gema had a crush on a girl named Santi, but it seemed challenging as she was avoiding him. The arrival of a new student named Rama started to change his bad behavior. Rama was a teenager who had suffered from heart failure since childhood. He had only his mother, who was always by his side. Rama's intelligence, diligence, and cool demeanor initially bothered Gema, but he eventually learned that Aunt Sarah was not only Rama's mother but also a business partner of his father. Mrs. Harum also had a good relationship with their family, which brought them closer. However, Gema was unaware of Rama's health condition. During his battle with his illness, Rama wrote a book titled "2000 Dreams." Gema learned about this book when Rama was critically ill and heard stories from Aunt Sarah about Rama's dreams and Bara, his childhood friend who had died from cancer. Gema, Rama, and Amri worked together to bring these dreams to life when Gema returned to Jakarta for a vacation. Slowly but surely, they began to fulfill the "2000 Dreams" in tandem with Rama's improving health. Ana, who was on a scholarship in America, suddenly informed Gema that she was ill. This news prompted Gema to decide to join her without meeting Rama in person. Initially, Gema had promised to help and attend Rama's solo concert, which was meant to be a thank-you gesture and Rama's final wish. However, it was too late. Rama passed away one week after his solo concert. Rama knew that Gema wouldn't be there during his critical time, but secretly, he made a video recording and left a letter inside the guitar that Gema had given him earlier.
