Dafe für die Erklärung von Ciceros Briefen an Atticus die möglichst genaue Datierung derselben von Wichtigkeit ist, und dafs sich aus einer sorgfältigen Beachtung von Ort und Zeit der Abfassung auch für die Kritik der Briefe mancherlei ergiebt, habe ich an einigen Briefen des XV. Buches darzulegen versucht in meinem Beitrag zur „festschrift des friedrichs-werderschen Gymnasiums, Berlin 1881 (zu Ciceros Briefen an Atticus, S. 225 Im folgenden sollen in ähnlicher Weise für eine gröfsere Anzahl von Briefen des XII. Buches Ort, Zeit und Reihenfolge der Abfassung genauer als es bisher geschehen ist, festgestellt und einige andere hiermit zu sammenhängende Fragen zur Erklärung und Kritik dieser Briefe erörtert werden.
XII 1 enthält in den ersten Worten Festsetzungen über die Rückkehr von einer Reise. Cicero schreibt am frühen Morgen beim Aufbruch von einer Villa, die nur die arpinatische sein kann, da der Weg von Tusculum über Anagnis, auf dem Cicero hier zurückkehrt, unter den Villen Ciceros nur zu der bei Arpinum gelegenen führt. Er will an diesem Tage noch in dem Landhaus zu Anagnis, am nächsten auf dem Tusculanum eintrefl'en, den dritten Tag auf dem letzteren zubringen und am vierten Tage in Rom sein. Da er diesen letzten Tag mit V. Kalend. Bezeichnet, so ist der Brief VIII. Kal. Geschrieben, Doch welche Kalenden sind gemeint? Zunächst ist das Jahr, in welchem sie zu suchen sind, festzustellen. Da in dem Briefe des Atticus Tochter Attica mehrfach erwähnt wird, Cicero aber diese noch nicht kannte, als er im Jahre 51 nach Cilicien ging (ad Att. V 19, 2; VI 1, so gehört der Brief in die Zeit nach seiner Rückkehr aus Brundisium, die Anfang Oktober 47 erfolgte (ad fam. XIV Ciceros Tochter Tullia aber, die zur Zeit der Abfassung unseres Briefes noch lebt starb im Februar 45 (s. Drumann Geschichte Roms VI 704 Und da man aus 5 2 trotz der fehlerhaften Überlieferung erkennt, dafs Atticus in dem Briefe, auf welchen Cicero in XII 1 noch antwortet, für die Zeit, in der er seinen Brief schrieb, es als für einen Greis geziemend hingestellt hatte, der Kälte des Morgens durch Feuerung zu begegnen, so fand dieser Briefwechsel weder mitten im Winter statt, weil in dieser Zeit das Morgenfeuer auch in Italien nicht blos für Greise Bedürfnis ist, noch auch mitten im Sommer, weil dann doch wohl selbst Greise es entbehren können. Zu diesen Voraussetzungen stimmt es, wenn Baiter (in seiner kleineren mit Kayser veranstalteten Ausgabe) XII 1 ansetzt auf VIII. Kal. Innias des Jahres 46. Denn in diesem Jahre entspricht VIII. Kal. Inn. Dem 26. März der berichtigten Jahrform. Trotzdem ist Baiters Ansetzung nicht richtig. Denn es läfst sich beweisen, dafs Cicero im Mai 46 die Reise, die er zu Anfang von XII 1 erwähnt, nicht machte. Hierzu ist nötig, die Briefe an Varro und Paetus im IX. Buch der Briefe ad fam. Zur Vergleichung heranzuziehen.

Right of withdrawal for consumers
(A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed).
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Buchpark, Trebbin, Germany, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
