Handsome, antique copy of "THE CHURCH SERVICES" - The Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments; and Other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church, According to the Use of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of America, Together with the Psalter, or Psalms of David. 1860; D. The book is bound in full leather with gilt accents on the covers and spine, a decorative gilt border along the outer edges of the inside covers, gilt page edges on all sides of the text block, five raised bands on the spine, and a ribbon page marker. The book is smaller in size - it measures 5" tall x 3 3/8" wide x 1 5/8" thick. Condition: Clean covers and spine; small tear to the leather at the bottom-left corner of the back cover. Tight binding with no loose pages. There is an insignificant crack at the front hinge between the end paper and pastedown (despite the crack, the front cover is still firmly attached and is not shaky). There is a stain at the bottom of a few consecutive pages at the front (including the half title and title pages, and the page that follows).otherwise the pages are in nice condition with no other notable issues found. There is an old bookshop label affixed to the front pastedown. Bright gilt on the covers and spine. Bright gilt on all 3 sides of the text block. The ribbon page marker is firmly attached.
