The Lord Jesus Christ revealed what great conflict the Church, His betrothed wife, would go through when He said: "I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Whether believed or not, all that goes on, on earth and indeed within creation, continues to reveal the attempt of the ancient rebel and the eternal and sovereign wisdom and power of God above it. The ancient conflict has played out in various scenarios until the Church was called forth by the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus into the battle.
This printed message seeks to expose this by describing the current condition in the Church as an eloquent testimony to the fact that the gates of hell have made and are still making numerous attempts to spoil the Church and hijack her from who she was brought forth to be to something inglorious. The enemy has chosen to stop fighting from outside the Church but rather to lure and engage men who were graciously privileged to be co-labourers with the Son of God, fight from within the Church and strategically from the altar! Yet, it is also established that our captain, the Lord Jesus, has not left His Church alone both in Church history and in current occurrences therein, despite these invasions from hell, the headquarters of evil.
This booklet has taken a cursory look at the different attempts by the Prince of Darkness and his cohorts to destroy the Church as it exposes "another gospel" manifested by the spirit of temple worship, where temple structures and sites have been turned into sacred locations and emphasized above spiritual worship, contrary to the direct word of Jesus. It went further to consider the ungodly and unscriptural attitude of Church leaders to monies and materials of the Church, which has made many become enemies of the cross, having turned their bellies into their God. The invasion of Christ-centered leadership in the Church and the craze for titles among men of the pulpit leading to cut-throat competitions contrary to the warnings of the Master was also raised, among others.
In clear words, the book is an attempt to call erring servants of the Lord back from the land of perversion to the fulcrum of their call: to establish the victory of Christ and reveal His life as the perfect standard of living for mankind. It catalogued different abominable practices prevalent in the Body of Christ and explained what ought to be and what ought not to be in the household of faith. Herein is a clarion call from the Father's heart of love.
