A strong man versus the man of strength:
A strong man works out every day to keep his body in shape, but a man of strength kneels in prayer to keep his soul in shape. A strong man isn’t afraid of anything, but a man of strength shows courage in the midst of his fears. A strong man will not let anyone get the best of him, but a man of strength gives the best of him to everyone. A strong man makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future, but a man of strength realizes life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalizes on them. A strong man walks sure-footedly, but a man of strength knows God will catch him when he falls. A strong man wears the look of confidence on his face, but a man of strength wears grace. A strong man has face that he is strong enough for the journey, but a man of strength has faith that it is in the journey that he will become strong.
It is easy to be a strong man, but to be a man of strength takes Patience, Hope, Loyalty, Trust, Faith, Commitment, Honor, Respect, and Love. Pain will always be inherently unpleasant; that is just its nature, but pain also brings wisdom, humility, patience, and so many lessons. When choices are taken away, a perfect path will always remain. It is just up to us to find it.
Wisdom cannot be put into words, it has to be experienced. That is the difference bwteeen wisdom and knowledge: you can learn and receive knowledge; experience defines wisdom. That is why older people are wise. Those who fear getting older never receives understanding.
