Paperback. Four stories from two different worlds of military science fiction, by author-narrator and audiobook producer Keith Tracton will keep you guessing as to what happens next. The Chronicles of NCO Third-rank Lance Obsidian, Junior Lieutenant Foley Carsen, and the 451st Strikers of the Light Iron Guard of Topland: The war between between Topland and the Independent Southern Islands is just about to start. The South-Islanders, or South-Eyes, are just about ready to cross the border. In the meantime they have equipped the mercenary Wreckers in the Patrol Zone between the two powers with some of their latest equipment, an attempt to foment terror and unrest there, and pave the way for invasion. Junior Lieutenant Foley Carsen and his veteran NCO Third-ranker section-mate Lance Obsidian guide the 15-foot tall humanoid-like combat vehicles of the 451st General Purpose Multi-Mode Striker Section against Wreckers - and eventually the South-Eyes themselves - in two stories from this war. The BioTrode Chronicles - Abram Priest and Tanner Gray: The dreaded and megalomaniacal Dominion's claws have reached out from their home in Sud Afrique and grabbed the entirety of Africa in a series of lightning land and amphibious campaigns. Advancing quickly to the very northern coast of the Dark Continent, they are pounding on the watery Mediterranean gates of southern Europe. They have finally found an ally in their conquering cause: the Pacific-ocean-based corporate conglomeration, the giant Pan-Asian CoProsperity Sphere. And so the true World Dust-Up has begun. Africa has been swallowed whole; Europe is in mortal danger. Anansi Tagg is the lead singer of Anansi Et Al, who are - on the surface - the best-selling band on the planet. In reality, he is the front-person for a freedom movement providing hope, weapons, troops, insight, and ammunition for the world's military salvation from the threat of the Dominion. Yet in an unexpected, daring, and ultimately successful commando raid by the Dominion and their CoProsperity Sphere allies, targeting Anansi's fortified base of operations near the coast of Northern Europe, Anansi is killed. Defeated, out of ammo, Anansi's garrison forces retreat into the warren's of the complex, and as the huge underground facility is cleared room by room, regular Dominion and CoProsperity Sphere armed forces arrive to reinforce the commandoes. In the aftermath of his demise, Anansi's now ex-Chief of Security - Tanner Gray - and his ex-Special Operations Director - the wily and impatient Abram Priest - must both deal with the crushing military defeat, and execute Anansi's final just-in-case-I-should-die plan. Two stories detail the events and revelations that result. This item is printed on demand.
