By Kendall A. Hunter
Eight-year-old Alexi writes everything down.
The embarrassing stuff.
The unbelievable stuff.
And the stuff that definitely wasn’t supposed to happen.
When a disastrous first day of school lands Alexi in the principal’s office, she has no idea her life is about to change forever. A strange new neighbor. A mysterious garage. A machine hidden just out of sight. And one very bad decision involving a red handle.
Suddenly, Alexi is racing through time.
Dodging danger, decoding hidden messages, and surviving places she was never meant to visit, Alexi must figure out how to fix her mistake before it becomes permanent. With the help of new friends, a brilliant but unpredictable professor, and a flying creature named Ptery, she discovers that curiosity can be powerful, bravery doesn’t always look loud, and even small choices can have huge consequences.
Told through diary entries packed with humor, heart, and hand-drawn sketches, Chronicles of Alexi: First Launch blends science, adventure, and mystery into a fast-paced middle-grade story that celebrates problem-solving, resilience, and the joy of asking questions.
Perfect for readers who love time travel, smart protagonists, and stories where imagination and science collide.
Ideal for ages 8–12
Great for classrooms, libraries, and family reading.
The countdown has already begun.
