Blue paper over boards with cream quarter- (nearly half-) binding, with stamped and embossed gilt and blue decorations to front and spine, no wrapper, small 8vo. Author's Revised Edition. 528pp. Frontis plate + 16 b/w plates within (all tissue-protected). VG. Light soil to boards and spine, pricipally along edges (slightly heavier to spine with two moderate spots along mid front edge), with several patches of light rubbing to rear blue paper. Spine eend softening but no tears. Mild separation at pp.4-5 in contents but all holding tight and fine with no play. Light foxing to fore and lower page edges very slight to gilt upper page edges). Pages bright and unmarked. Overall very handsome, somewhat rococo issue. less common that the red cloth issue. Not ex-lib. Seller Inventory # 006284
