Irving was an American essayist, short story writer and historian.Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown of Volume I. From the library of Robert Johnson Eden Bart. In full calf bindings. Externally, smart. Three of the spine labels of the set are detached and inserted to the book. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. There is some wear to the leather on the spine. The front hinge of Volume I is starting but firm. Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown of Volume I. Internally, firmly bound.
