"So, This Is Christmas... Tinsel and Shadows"
Step into a world where the magic of Christmas goes far beyond twinkling lights and festive cheer—because life isn’t a Hallmark movie, and not everything in the Bible unfolded quite as written.
That’s why God sent Gabriel back to the stable to question the animals: what really happened that night? Gabriel, of course, had it tough. He wasn’t the angel everyone expected, and convincing Mary and Joseph that the Savior’s name wasn’t up for negotiation? That’s another story entirely.
Have you ever wondered if Jesus—the man who turned water into wine—had to learn to swim as a child? Or whether the three wise men were truly as wise as the stories claim?
Then there’s Santa. The jolly old man spreading holiday cheer has his own tale. What kind of father is he? Do the elves really make toys, or does the North Pole hide a darker secret? What happens when Santa is too sick to deliver gifts—or worse, forgets a child? And is it time to finally upgrade the Naughty or Nice list?
But this collection isn’t just about Santa or Jesus. It’s about ordinary people and their struggles during the holidays. Some are hopeful, some are lonely, and some are lost. Some drive aimlessly through the night, while others find themselves at the mysterious Factory of Wishes. Some have forgotten how to move on, and others refuse to celebrate at all. Yet, in the quietest moments, even the loneliest may discover they’re not as alone as they thought.
What is the true meaning of Christmas? Isn’t it something deeply personal?
This collection of short stories and poems takes you on a journey through the absurdities, wonders, and mysteries of the holiday season. From heartwarming to haunting, humorous to deeply reflective, these tales uncover hidden truths about family, identity, and the meaning of life.
"So, This Is Christmas... Tinsel and Shadows" offers a captivating blend of humor, poignancy, and wonder. Perfect for readers who crave stories that challenge traditions and spark curiosity, this collection will leave you questioning the essence of Christmas and the wishes that define us.
Join Donato Schlotter as he guides you through the wonders, mysteries, and absurdities of the holiday season. From the heartwarming to the haunting, each story invites you to reflect on family, identity, and the meaning of life—lingering with you long after the last pag
