About the Author: Robert Kraus was the author and illustrator of more than forty books for children including Leo the Late Bloomer and Milton the Early Riser. His cartoons appeared regularly in The New Yorker magazine until he started his own publishing company, Windmill Books, Inc.

In the Islands called Pribilof where fur seals do bark, was born Virgil Partch who as Vip made his mark. He worked for Walt Disney, made Mickey Mouse walk, pulled Pinocchio's strings, made Donald Duck squawk. For cartoons unique he won further fame. Vip was the tops in the comic art game. He dwelled in a cliff house on the Ocean Pacific, drawing pictures inspired by his genius prolific. His wife he had one, his children are three, his cats numbered nine - six siamee. And now for every girl and boy, Vip's first children's book is back to enjoy!
