Paperback. Have you ever walked down the aisle, said the sinner's prayer, and waited for a transformation that never fully came? You're not alone.and you're not doing something wrong so much as you may be misunderstanding the deal. In Christian, A Contract with God, Tim Mulgrew challenges one of the most common assumptions in modern Christianity: that salvation is a single moment, a recited prayer, a one-time transaction with no ongoing obligation. Drawing deeply from Paul's letter to the Romans, Mulgrew unpacks salvation as what Scripture actually presents it to be: a covenant contract, with real terms, real responsibilities, and real relationship on both sides. Walking through the essential ingredients of the gospel, which are salvation, righteousness, justification, and sanctification, this book gives you a clear, honest framework for understanding what God has promised, what He asks of you in return, and why so many believers feel stuck, distant, or unsure if their faith "worked." This is not a book about earning your way to heaven. It's a book about finally understanding the relationship you already entered so you can live it fully, know what to expect from God, and stop waiting for the other shoe to drop. If you've ever wondered why God feels silent, why the Christian life hasn't matched the promises you were told, or what it truly means to be born again, this book will meet you honestly and walk you toward the freedom Scripture actually offers.
