Paperback. I Ching Self-Change is a beginning text for anyone who wants to use the ancient Chinese oracle, the I Ching, for the purposes of consultation and self-understanding in the modern Western world. The author, Dr. Michael McDonald, has over forty years of experience using and interpreting the Book of Changes in a journal format, and has studied with I Ching experts at two different universities. This book explains "all the basics" of I Ching history in a gentle and understandable way, and covers such varied topics as the nature of oracles, and how oracles have been used in many cultures. The author's original explanation of I Ching archetypes and symbolism is rendered with many charts and diagrams, making it easy to understand how the I Ching works and functions. The ancient way of the "profound person" is updated through the I Ching journal and the I Ching Personality Profile, two powerful tools for making the ancient wisdom of the I Ching available today! This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
