我今年已经八十多歲了。七十歲那年,我選了283張照片,編了一套题为《人生七十才开始》的像册。事後感覺不甚满意。这次吸取教训,把我在微信上寫的文章分門别類整理出来,以照片為主,配上文字。我的学生--美晓萍(長春電影製片廠老藝術家陳汝斌的女兒)把我的文章稱為"照片裡的故事",我覺得非常恰切,就把這册書名定為《照片裡的故事》。

《照片裡的故事》主要寫我的成長歷程,僅開始两篇文章是"常氏家族史",而且,这家族史的资料來自老家--吉林省梨樹縣檔案館(魏曉光先生執筆)。先人的功績已由後人撰寫,其歷史的地位也因更正原来錯誤的記錄與敘事而給予確定。先祖的功績是他們自己為民為國並被後人肯定的歷史,我無需再多筆墨了。

本書收集407篇、近十年所寫之隨筆,記載了自己成長過程中所經歷的種種坎坷和所遇到的頗多幸運,是紀實與感悟,也是自己由小到大走過的人生之路的實錄。從無知到幼稚,最後到認知,這是一個漫長的經歷,八十年的時光卻也瞬間就滑過了。雖然我的經歷與一些同學和朋友比較,好像是豐富點兒,坎坷點兒,曲(趣)折點兒,自己唯一的收穫是,活得比過去明白了。這本書中,我用大量的筆墨記述了在中國由小学到工作那三十五年間的經歷,在美國為家庭生活和孩子們健康成長而投入的長達四十五年的奮斗。近十五年至二十年裡,我居多的時間是反思反省人生路是如何走過來的,同時也記述了游览世界名胜、了解各地風土人情的旅程。

我所寫的内容均爲自己的人生故事,並無虛構,但偶有自我調侃的味道,因我的生活態度本來就不夠嚴謹,性格活潑開朗。從年輕時的驕傲自滿到今天能認真反思自己一生的對與錯,從渾噩的混到清醒的活,從爲生存而活到瀟灑走完自己的人生,這就是我八十年的收穫,希望能與大家分享。

本人學的專業既不工也不理、既不文也不農林醫,而是少數人酷愛的專業--體育,所以文筆較差,就是把"侃"落成文字表達出來而已。此外當說明的是,各篇隨筆在網路發表時都有照片為「依據」,結集成書過程中,因編輯需要等原因,部分照片省略了。但文本依然是「照片裡的故事」。另外,當年落筆,所用繁體字居多,也間有簡體字者,現在編纂為一千多頁的書,決定一仍其舊,文字不再轉化統一了。

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Books From California, Simi Valley, California, U.S.A., +1 805-306-1772 25, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
