Neuware - This is a study of the nature of the process whereby children go about the business of learning to read. The author relates her own practical teaching experience closely to studies in developmental psychology, and also considers the special needs of individual children. In all, the book provides an invaluable contribution to our understanding of the processes involved in learning to read, and it should be of interest not only to teachers, but also to parents of young children.
