About the Author: Dale Chihuly is considered one of the most innovative and iconic figures in contemporary art. Chihuly has been working with glass as an artistic medium for nearly fifty years, to increasing critical and popular acclaim. His solo exhibition venues have included the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the de Young Museum, San Francisco; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. His work is in the permanent collections of more than 200 museums worldwide. Henry Adams is a graduate of Harvard College and earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from Yale University, where he received the Frances Blanshard Prize for the best doctoral dissertation on art history. He currently serves as Ruth Coulter Heeded Professor of Art History at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. The author of more than 20 books and some 350 articles, he has ranged widely over the American field. His publications included studies of Jackson Pollock, Thomas Hart Benton, and Thomas Eakins, as well as of two nineteenth-century pioneers in American art glass, Louis Tiffany and John La Farge.
