About this Item
The book itself could easily go to fine condition. It is a stated first edition in 1963. There are no visible condition issues to the book covers. On the inside pastedown endpaper there is a affixed previous owner's bookplate. On the top corner of the feep there is a slight visible erased pencil price. The dust jacket is in very good condition with the price clipped and some modest wear and crinkling to the jacket folds. The jacket is now protected with mylar. The Cherokee were early recognized as the greatest and most civilized of the southeastern American Indians. Between 1540 and 1906 they reached a higher peak of civilization than any other north American Indian tribe. 359 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-174
