📕 #2 ~ A Sweet Book Using Food to See Life in Recipes that Every Classroom Needs. Meet Sous Chef. She knows that food brings people together, so she compares recognizable school age hurdles to recipes for success, so small issues don't spoil the day.
Sous helps:
🍪 a shy classmate
🍪 a classmate who thinks he runs too slow
🍪 by playing a pretend grocery game at the top of a “mountain”
🍪 & soon the children no longer perceive small issues as looming obstacles
Pretend play comes naturally to children. When young readers use their imagination alongside yummy words & a flavorful lesson, they're given an encouraging avenue to:
✨ Address school-age themes✨ Connect with characters
✨ Feel affirmed & confident
✨ Grow Critical Thinking Skills
✨ Learn positive re-focus
✨ Find resolution
The Author's Storybook Learning pairs text & illustrations to embed Critical Thinking Skills. Parent & Classroom Guide:
