Paperback. The Evelyn Grange Hotel is a venue for couples who wish to be divorced. They must attend an assessment week, where their suitability will be determined by the strict, very single, Verity, and her hidden team.Among the couples are those who have simply outgrown one another. For one couple with a fifteen year age gap, it was fun at first but one of them wants to experience Jaegerbombs and late-night kebabs. Unsurprisingly, there is a premiership footballer with lurid stories in the tabloids about his exploits off the pitch. But the surprise appearance of a much-loved couple, stars of breakfast television, has all the attendees amazed.Challenges set to test their compatibility create resentment and hostility, yet there are touching moments as they all hope they will be granted the divorce that will see a brighter future.Verity has other ideas; finding herself in compromising situations isn't one of them. When the couples find out their fate - there are shocks and revelations.Which just goes to show - happily ever after isn't always what you thought it might be.
